Legislation

Traintech 2000 Pty Ltd will provide staff and students with access to all the relevant Acts and Regulations that govern the actions of persons engaged in the Racing Industry.

Copies of the following legislation should be available in either print form or by electronic media:

• Training and Employment Act 2000 (amendment Training Reform Act 2003)
• Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Act.2000.
• Extracts from the GST and Related Matters Act 2000
• Anti-Discrimination Act 1991
• Work Cover Queensland Act 1996
• Racing and Betting Act 1980
• Australian Rules of Racing 2002
• Qld Racing Code of Conduct
• Racing Act 2002 parts 1& 2
• Overseas Student Act 1996

Traintech 2000 Pty Ltd must identify and comply with relevant State and Territory Laws including Commonwealth or State/Territory legislation on:

• Occupational Health & Safety;
• Workplace Harassment, victimisation and bullying;
• Anti-discrimination, including equal opportunity, racial vilification, disability discrimination;
• Vocational education and training
• Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

Hard copies of the Legislation are located in the Principals Office at Traintech 2000.

Traintech 2000 Pty Ltd must ensure that its policies and procedures meet the requirements of the relevant legislation, which are relevant to its operations and that:

• Staff are provided with information about legislation that significantly affects their duties;
• Clients are provided with information about legislation that significantly affects their participation in vocational education and training.

Traintech 2000 Pty Ltd must ensure that it has all the insurance cover necessary to carry out its business including:

• Workers Compensation  Insurance;
• Public Liability Insurance;
• Building and Contents Insurance where applicable.
