Course Aim
To meet the needs of individuals who wish to gain formal qualifications to become a registered trainer of thoroughbred horses.

Career Opportunities
Participants in this program will receive solid grounding in all areas of training race horses.  Persons successfully completing this course are eligible to apply for a license to train their own Race Horses.

Entry Requirements
The most successful students will possess a strong commitment to horses and have an appropriate level of experience in the handling and riding of horses.

Delivery Mode
Full time course in the classroom also utilising practical experience.  This program is very innovative incorporating work experience with leading Racehorse Trainers.

Length
Local Students: Level 1 – 40 weeks
International Students: Level 1 – 41 weeks

Assessments
All assessments are competency based and will be conducted throughout the course in the classroom and in practical work situations.  The focus is on the ability to apply knowledge and skills required to the standard relevant for training race horses.

English Requirements
For International students whose first language is not English, the minimum of  IELTS score 5.5 is required.  However we could organize an English proficiency classes prior to starting our course as an IELTS score 5.5 is required.
